In the event of an accident or unforseen mishaps e.g. traffic jams or punctured tyre, where the cake is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced, resulting in a delay in delivery, Yeners Cakes will not be held liable and thus, will not refund the cost of the cake.
All cakes picked up by customers or their assigned personnel must be carried out with maximum care. They must not subject the cake to these suboptimal transporting and keeping conditions which might damage the cake: Transporting in non-air conditioned cars, exposure to direct sunlight, reckless driving, placing the cake on uneven surfaces, keeping the cake for prolonged periods in room temperature etc. Yeners Cakes will NOT be responsible for the condition of the cake once it is picked up.
Orders are confirmed once a deposit is placed. In the event of a cancellation, Yeners Cakes holds the right to charge a non-refundable administration fee of $20. Total payment must be made 7 days prior to the pick-up or delivery date for the cake, unless an alternative agreement has been made between both parties.
4. RECEIVING PERSONNEL
It is the responsibility of the customer to assign someone to be present to receive the cake upon delivery. This person must ensure that; 1) a table is prepared as instructed; 2) the room where the cake is kept is optimally cool. Upon receiving the cake, he/she must check the cake to ensure that it is in good condition and then sign the order form, confirming that the cake was "Received in good condition".

Some cakes may contain non-edible parts that are used in its construction. Information about non-edible parts will be clearly explained to the customer, verbally and in writing, by Yeners Cakes's staff. It is the responsibility of the customer, assigned personnel and the chef-in-charge to ensure that these non-edible parts are not served to and consumed by anybody in any way.

Any part of the cake that contains gold or silver food colours are purely for decorative purposes, and thus, must be discarded and not consumed.

Yeners Cakes's chef's retain the right to make any minor changes to a cake's design without any extra cost to the customer if he/she deems it necessary for aesthetic reasons.

Some food colours inevitably fade with exposure to light and therefore, some decorations or icing colours that contain these colours might differ slightly in colour from the intended colour ordered by the customer.
10. FRESH FLOWERS
If customers prefer to use fresh flowers on their cakes, they or their florist must supply the flowers in the best conditions, to Yeners Cakes within the specified time. Yeners Cakes's chefs will arrange these flowers on the cake as requested by a customer but they will not be held responsible for the condition of the flowers once the cake is delivered. Fresh flowers are ideally recommended to be arranged by the customer's florist on an "Oasis" that is then to be placed directly on the cake. Otherwise, to prevent direct contact of the flowers stem on the cake, the florist should deliver the flowers individually prewired & taped.
Cakes packed in large boxes for delivery or pick-up should not be removed from the top of the boxes. Please follow these steps when removing the cake from its box: 1) Sit the box on a firm surface. e.g. a table. 2) Cut the box vertically downwards on its two front panels with a box cutter, 3) Pull and bend the sides of the box down to the level of the table, 4) Ease the cake gently out of the box.
Sugar & chocolate decorations and centrepieces on cakes may be kept after an event but they might not last forever, as they are not made for this purpose. Yeners Cakes will not be held responsible for these items once they are delivered or picked up.
